I always wanted to make a simple tele-style guitar, I figuere it would be the easiest and simplest of all guitars to make, and will still sound uber good. I'm just wondering what type of saw is used to make the neck pocket, that looks tricky. I assume you can use a scroll saw or something to get the general shape, and one of those doo-hickies to make the pickup holes.

I got in a tech class in school that has all kinds of routers and saws so I might be able to try to make a guitar...

I want to so badly, but my crappy HS DOESN'T HAVE TECH CLASS. I mean... WTF? We have the best music program in the area, all the program people come to my school, but... we don't have shiny saws? Even my crappy ghetto middle school had saws.

Ahhh the highschool days... I quit the hockey team (which is big in europe) when I found out they we're taking money from all the departments and putting it into Sports... I never understood why sports are so big in Highschool

That's probably what's happening, my school is REALLY big in Football. The only reason the music classes exist is to play at the games.

I never understood why sports are so big in Highschool Because its a holding pen for a whole lotta kids who arent interested in education. What else are they gonna do? Music programs are another expensive waste of time in high school. Seriously, who listens to marching bands on their stereo? |
