Well I laughed my fuckin' ass off reading this. BUT if we can ATTEMPT to veer back towards the original topic. I DO think Tom Morello is a genius visionary. Coming out of a decade HELL BENT on making a nasty shit-stew out of "urban" music and metal, Morello was IMO the ONLY guitarist to have any notable success at genre-blending. I think he wrote riffs that if they'd been played in the standard SG through Marshall format Jimmy Page fans the world over would be lining up to kiss his ass. I think he also was able to take the sounds of the record-scratching MC's and recreate them brilliantly on guitar. I think he stands head and shoulders above the other guitarists of the 90s, and IMO will one day be recognized as the pioneer he really was. I really liked Audioslave's first album, but what I've heard since has IMO fallen flat of their potential. I mean hell, you've got ARGUABLY the best singer since Freddie Mercury AND the most original guitarist of the 90s in the same band- they should be able to crank out better material IMO.
