Hallucinogenic Drugs

When I trip I have these "revelations" and such. That's why I don't trip too often, sometimes I "realize" things that start to make me uncomfortable. Like the last time I tripped I was handing my friend a cigarette, and I looked out and saw my fingertips passing it to his fingertips and I realized we're basically just two chunks of meat and bone interacting. We're merely animated meat, nothing more. A lot of people report to feel more "connected" with God or the Earth or whatever, not me, tripping makes me feel MORE isolated from the earth. But also more AWARE of it. I become AWARE of how a cool breeze is actually molecules of air bouncing off my face. How the sound from my guitar amp is actually passing between the molecules of ME and pushing them around. Sometimes this awareness is helpful and inspiring, sometimes it's a little unsettling and unnerving. Which is why I don't do it that often.

I've never tried Hallucinogenic drugs because they sound scary. I do occasionally get so stoned that I see things moving out of the corner of my eye, but that's not creepy because I'm so stoned it seems cool.

Well, they can be. They amplify all of the senses and many thought processes. When trying them, it's best to be in a safe, secure environment where nothing is likely to disturb or otherwise upset you. It is also best to already be in a decent frame of mind. Folks who are relaxed and have a positive outlook generally have an illuminating and pleasant experience. Folks who are nervous and/or paranoid in a normal state generally wind up freaking out and climbing a tree or something.

Yeah.. that is the scientific name for Crystal Meth. Meth is an... oh fuck i forgot the name... (anphedmine! I remembered! probably spelled it wrong) but it isn't an hallucinogenic.

Personaly I won't touch it. I am slightly schitzophranic and my family has some history of bi-polar and what not.

I saw a story on 20/20 where two people were high on meth and they thought they were looking out the window of their apartment to see a cult of black people tearing up cars on the street when actually they crashed their car in a ditch in the middle of no where and dying of hypothermia. seems pretty hallucinogenic to me.

I'd say they're worth checking out sooner or later. But I'll agree your surroundings are VERY important to the overall success of the trip. The most important thing is to be around people you like and trust. And it can be kinda lonely if no one else is tripping too. The best times for me have been in groups of 6 or less friends. I've noticed I smoke clove cigarettes like a chimney when I'm tripping too. I lack impulse control if I WANT something while I'm tripping I get very busy making it happen. I really like drinking orange juice when I'm tripping, the flavor seems more intense or something.

I personally love hallucinegenics. I am not addicted, but I love their uses. I have a very "60s" view on life. Hehehehehe.
Anyways, I love the ability to be able to step into another world. It seems to aid my creativity, and sometimes gives me those awesome revelations.
The best was on salvia. I died 6 times, and have never been the same. But I also got to meet Morrison, Hendrix, Garcia, and a bunch of other people. I know I didn't really meet them, but it was so real that I can't tell the difference.
One other thing I would like to mention is that I am slightly schizo, depressed, paranoid, etc etc. Psychedelics don't seem to bother me at all in that respect. The worst side effect was during a salvia trip, and had millions of other peoples memories stuck into my brain. Now, for most people, you would just remember them as part of the trip and be like "whooa" but, for me, somehow with the schiz the memories become part of my own. It's a really weird feeling, but I don't mind it.

Oh, one other story you guys might be interested in. Me and my friends did psychedelics and got lost in the desert. Best thing I have ever been through. Highly recommended. The biggest problem is that we almost dove into a canyon 50 feet deep because the grass looked really green and inviting.

I assume Acid/LSD is also a hallucinogen. Any of you guys try those? Have you had "acid flashbacks"?

I have tried acid. The flashbacks thing is a little blown out of proportion, IMO. First of all, it is highly unlikely that you will get them. And second of all, you know its a flashback while you are expierencing it. Its not like you full on trip out of the blue and freak out. You can usually tell that it is a flashback. Its something I would not be worried about if you are interested in LSD or Mushrooms.


Has anyone ever tried peyote? Its impossible to get here.

Never had Peyote- just shrooms like 5 times and acid once. But even that was just one tab split 3 ways, it was a band thing, we did it during a practice. I wouldn't say I even "tripped" per se, I just kinda felt beautiful, like everything was going according to plan, even though there was no plan- but THAT was all part of the plan. I'm not makin' any sense, lol.

Hallucinogenic shrooms grow on shit that's true. I've never smoked 'em, but I've heard you can yeah.
