If somebody would kill themselves, there's no telling what they might do to somebody else.
Good riddance.

Depends- Sometimes people's lives just catch up to 'em, they feel really stressed and say,"Hey, I can solve this!!" That's bad, it's just a temporary disorder that could be eliminated through therapy, and some happy pills.
But- Assisted suicide, a guy is dying, he's in a crapload of pain, or on massive doses of morphine... well, I guess they should let the dude die, it's good for everyone. A lethal injection will cost way less than morphine plus a room at a hospital until the dude dies. I say the same thing for paralythics(sp?)... them people that are paralyzed. If they just can't live being paralyzed let 'em go, it's best for everyone. It allows the family to move on, and not be hindered by the paralyzed dude. Of course I think this option should only be allowed after some meetings with a psychiatrist were all options are throughtly explored.

I'm all for zero human population growth, but my best friend in the whole world killed herself last year and I'm still getting over it. Suicide is nothing to joke about. It leaves all your loved ones thinking that they've done something wrong and that they should have been able to help in some way. I've attempted suicide and luckily it didn't work and I'm still here. I've met a wonderful woman and as soon as it's legalized we're gonna get married. My life is pretty wonderful right now and if the suicide attempt had of gone through I wouldn't be here to enjoy all of it. People say that people who have killed themselves are cowards. I don't look at it that way. It's not the best way to die, but it sounds pretty brave to me to take your own life. There's no easy way to do it. I've lost the only person that cared that much about me. This was before I met my GF however. Suicide is not a good thing. It's a terrible burden to leave your loved ones with.

My best friend did himself in a few years back. It kind of scarred me, but I don't think about it too much nowadays.
Anyway, I don't personally condone it, and I would never do it, but some people are beyond remedy. I figure once their mind is set on it- they'll do it. Maybe not today, or tomorrow, but eventually.
I feel like suicide is taking the easy way out. Life sucks, deal with it. The thing that makes it worth living is the fact that you have the ability to overcome disheartening, depressing things. I find teenage suicide even more troubling, because life can be so harsh and cruel in those years, and often times people just can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. Oh well.

If you're in chronic pain from a terminal illness, cancer or something like that. Or if you can perceive you're starting to slip into Alzheimer's Disease, or losing you mental capacity, I see nothing wrong with "going out" on your own terms.
