It doesn't matter what he knows, it's what he plays. I don't care if you analyze or explain any piece of music, unless you can play something great then you're not a great player.
I'm sure David has a fairly good idea, and if he doesn't I'll make the judgement myself- and come to the same conclusion, most likely.
