I know. It's hard to fathom musical concepts that are more esoteric than playing of arpeggio sweeps and ascending pentatonic runs as fast and loud as possible. When you get bigger you might start to understand things like that.

Well Roger Waters for his attitude and song-writing skills, though his actual playing is just about adequate, nothing spectacular. I've heard that on his current tour he's playing mostly acoustic guitar, or just singing, he has another bass player. But my list goes somethin' like this:
Mike Gordon
Les Claypool
Flea
Duff McKagan
Jeff Ament
Tom Hamilton
Sting
Victor Wooten
Honorable Mention goes to Ray Manzarek's left hand on the Fender Bass keyboard he used to play on the Doors songs, especially live. All those thoroughly tight bass lines on Doors songs- that's his left hand, pretty damn good you ask me.
