You gonna use a pick or grow your nails?
I prefer the sound of a Flamenco guitar over a classical. They sound better strummed.

Flamenco guitars are used to play flamenco music strangely enough.
They are slightly smaller and have a sharper attack and brighter tone. Big guards too, so you can tap your nails to the hypnotic movements of wanton women!

Those have a much smaller scale and a deeper body than a Flamenco guitar. So...your school is making you play in mariachi bands?

Yeah, a friend of mine is a pro Flamenco player. He gets so much right-hand stuff going on, upstrokes as well as downstokes, both at the same time, also mixing free strokes and rest strokes in both directions, in wildly complicated picking patterns and rhythms. Totally freaking insane. Rock players aint got nothing on those guys.
He keeps wanting to give me lessons because he owes me a lot of favors going back through the years. I tell him I already have enough problems without trying to mess with that shit.
