Note how the Fender factory seems to be much more mechanized...in that case why bother continuing to make em in California.
At Gibson theres still craftsmen cutting out neck blanks by hand *gasp* without a template!!!

Maybe that expalains the difference quality between Gibson models? I have to agree that a human touch always ads that... "something"... but nothing can beat the precision of a machine.
