I am a real big fan of Roger Waters solo work. For a long time I didn't understand it and didn't like the music, however after I got out of college Radio Waves got into my head and I DL'ed some songs from Radio KAOS. I loved it. Right now I am pretty much in love with all of his solo albums, Any Way the Wind Blows, Radio KAOS, The Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking, and of course Amused to Death. I really enjoy Waters lyrics through out his career. I don't want to get into a debate about who is better, Gilmour or Waters, I love them. Every member of Pink Floyd's music speaks to me.

Well Roger Waters sounds a little like Pink Floyd. I think you might like his lyrics but I donno if you would get into the music. it is a lot of accoustic and orchestral stuff. I really don't know. I plan to put my reviews up for each of his albums when I get the time.

It's a lot different than Floyd though. I mean it's similar, but it's really more centralized, and theme-sounding. I like his solo stuff a lot too. It's got all of the dark, sarcastic attitude of my favorite Floyd stuff. The downside is it really is lacking in terms of "fullness" without Gilmour's touch to balance out the negative and cynicism.
But Waters is a great writer, and one of the best lyricists in rock.
