***forum logo & skin thread***

ok guys. some of you are kinda down on the logo, skin, or both. so here's a thread dedicated for discussion over the look of my forum.

i know already that a handful of you dislike the BC Rich Stealth model, that's fine. i love BC Rich Stealth (only Stealth basically) and it's a random pic of someone's Stealth that i found online and used as a logo.

my new logo idea: 3 guitars, a blue Stealth (on left, angled towards right), a cherry Les Paul (center, upright), and a black (or wood) dreadnaught (on left, angled towards right).
at the top, it will say "freya's Guitar Forums" in a burning text or something cool. all the guitars should cross at around fret 3 on the neck.

that's my idea if anyone wants to help me with it. i have no image editing program anymore.

as for the colors, i am ok with them personally. i might change a couple colors (such as a darker shade of grey, lighter shade of red, etc) but if you guys really hate it lemme know.

I don't hate the colors, its just they aren't welcoming, and they're difficult to read. I changed to the default skin, and it looks a lot better.

I can work on the banner...sometime this week, and probably get someone nice going on.

I think the skin is fine. People that don't like it can change it themselves by going to modify profile and selecting default to go to a lighter one. Also your idea of the logo is pretty cool, but the dreadnaught should definitely be wood. Someone reccomend me a good free image editing program and I'll start messing around with different ideas

i'm not so sure what you're talking about but if you go to your profile you can change it to a light colored skin. i think it's much better cause i'm on my laptop.

some of the buttons are a little hard to get used to but no big. what i don't like is that you can't just hit 'whatever forum you're in' and then get refreshed. you have to go to the menu and scroll up.
for some reason it was bugging me but i think it's the way i work the laptop.
otherwise, put something cool at the top and be done.

When you say cherry, do you mean cherry burst, or just a solid color? I've got some pics that may work, just wanna make sure.

cherry sunburst or cherry. both look fine but people may prefer the burst.
