At the risk of reopening old wounds, I feel compelled to post this. This is a PM convo I had with Keith from JS. And he gave me his blessing to post it here in hopes that it will help end this stupid "feud" going on between the forums that's been instigated by only a few people.

I use the term Guys and Gals all the time when addressing the gang out in the open.
In this post, it was a little directed at you because you were the only lady in that post at the time, but was still meant towards any lady that came across that thread.
I know that you were posting to get this nonsense stopped. And I thank you for that. It just got to the point for me, that I had to say something in this site. What goes on over at freya' site is his bussiness, but it started to bleed back over to here. As far as I know, none of the staff have joined up there to stir up things, and if they have, I will deal with that personaly. They were hired on for their maturity to handle things.
You and I have the same wants. To be on a forum and enjoy friends and be at peace on that board. I don't want to have some kind of forum war going on. That would make both sites look like Harmony Central.
I'm sorry that it got to this point.
And I'm equaly and truely sorry if I have offened you by stating (Gals) in the post. It was not meant to single you out in anyway.
I hope that Freya's site does well, and continues on with new members making new friends. I have no hard feelings towards anyone on that site, even if they have said a few things about me or us as staff. It's just the NET after all:)

If you would like to post this convo back in Freya's site so that your members can see. please do with my wishes for a good future there.

Oh Boy. Nice to hear there's no ill-will. But to me, this was NEVER about Freya's Forum vs. Jam Session anyway. Even if (as rumoured) the intention starting this place was to "rebel" or something. I don't look at it that way. I look at this as a place to post casually with some of my FAVORITE JS members, without the issues that come with boards the size of JS.

I don't perceive any feud at all. Though I there is some feuding on the part of a few folks who do perceive a feud. Not sure if that makes sense. In other words, a few folks seem to have a 'competition' mentality.

Google has 51,400,000 pages indexed for the term "Guitar Forum". Yes, 51 million.
Yahoo has 25,400,000 indexed. Some forums are big and busy, some are small and quiet. But every one of them is but a speck in the corner of the big picture. Any type of "feud" between boards is a silly and digressive enterprise.

yup, js really is a great forum...its got huge stores of knowledge and basically is about as active as /b/ on 4chan. I mostly lurk for guitar theory n stuff nowadays...its hard to keep up with the general stuff all the time cause topics get swamped by new ones. Very cool people there though, including keith. I think most of the people i like are here now tho so whatever =P. this place is neato.

It was never supposed to be a war me thinks...as I recall freya had plans to make a forum and then D.A.M.N. came along and that sped it up and then there were like 5-6 founding members with freya being the boss. then the link to this site leaked to jam session and they thought it was a war and guitarguy got called a nerd and freaked out.
