Everyone who has a real band that they are starting and trying to get off the ground or is alreayd off the ground and to a good start. Just tell us about you band and such. Like the name of it, why its called that, the members, genre or what you play alot, and if u can some samples. You can even just promote you band.

Well I don't know if you'd say my band has gotten off the ground, but we've had a total of 8 gigs in the last 4 months. Yet to be PAID of course, lol. We basically get permission from the local towns to use outdoor venues, and we show up and play. My drummer and bass player both work at a summer camp too, with a couple of wide-open dining-hall/rec-room buildings, and we've put on several shows there too. We were hired to play a 40th Birthday Party, our first "job" type gig. We were compensated with food and beer. We don't get paid- but we get our expenses covered when we play on camp. Our shows have a budget of about $500 which we spend on decorations, refreshments, etc. The campers pay $25 apiece to attend the overnight festivities, and the money goes to the camp. I guess you could say we play to support youth charity, lol. Our band's called "Just Fine" we play mostly instrumental funk/jam music with a rock influence. I am in serious jams with a band again finally. Pretty heavy stuff really, with not much in the way of over the top guitar. I dont mind lowering the amount of guitar playing because I just want to play now. We have talked for about 5mins on a name... right now it resides on: "Grandpa has AIDs" & "Saw in the Dark" (The above was a joke, we have no idea what to do for a name)
