So... if you havent done any imaginary numbers... 'i' is a constant not a variable...
ok so...
i = nothing...
its not like pi or... 'e'... or 'Y'
π ≈ 3.14159 e ≈ 2.71828 Y ≈ 0.57721
so.. i = nothing... BUT...
i2 = -1
I can use i in a forumla no problem... I just dont understand how this is possible... squared is a number multiplied by its self... so... 22 = 2*2 = 4
if ... i = nothing, becasue its an imaginary number... the i2=-1 cant be true right?
Nothing * Nothing = -1?
I hate thinking about crap like this lol

i isn't nothing it is the square root of -1, if you square a square root you get the number under the square root. It doesn't exist in a tangable form but it exists.

what makes you think its nothing? its not a real number and it does not equal 0

Yep. It's a nonreal number but there's a value there. For example, when you take the square root of a negative number, you pull out the "i" and make the number positive, since it is impossible to have a negative square root. Pretty simple concept actually.
