Here is another warm-up i do if i plan on soloing in the Major scale.
(Usually, when playing the HarmonicMinor/Pent. Minor, i use the Major scale to
relive some tension that builds from switching between the 2 minor scales.) It
sounds weird to stay in the Major scale for an extended period of time, while
playing mostly in Minor scales, but it CAN sound good if used sparingly.
Here is the shape.
e-------------------------------------5-7-8----
b------------------------------5-7-8-----------
g-----------------------4-5-7------------------
d----------------4-5-7-------------------------
a--------3-5-7---------------------------------
e-3-5-7----------------------------------------
Here is the excercise.

It goes directly into this.

d---------------------------------7---5-7-4-5---4---------------------
a---------------------------------------------7---5-7-3-5---3---------
e---------------------------------------------------------7---5-7-3~--
I usually do this in. (These tabs are in 'g' move it up to change the whole
scale. Yes its moveable)
G(3rd fret), A(5tf fret), B(7th fret), E(12th fret)
