Anyone have any good sweep picking excercises? I'm trying to learn how to sweep pick and so far all I've been doing is this:
----5h8p5-5------------------------------------ ---6--------6---------------------------------- -7------------7-------------------------------- ------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------
Which is pretty simple. I was hoping someone could put up some sweep excercises a little more complicated that I could practice.

Thats a cool m7 arp.
Depends on how many strings you want to do, but heres are a few common sweeping shapes.
E----------5h9p5-----------|------------5h8p5----------|------------------8h12p8--------------------| B-------5----------5-------|---------5----------5------|-------------10------------10---------------| G----6---------------6-----|------5---------------5----|----------9---------------------9-----------| D-7---------------------7--|---7---------------------7-|------10--------------------------10--------| A--------------------------|---------------------------|---12----------------------------------12---| E--------------------------|---------------------------|--------------------------------------------|
E----------------9h12p9----------------| B------------10-----------10------------| G---------9--------------------9---------| D-----11-------------------------11-----| A-12---------------------------------12-| E-----------------------------------------|
These are a few major and minor shapes. They're all based on A. So the first is A, the second and third are Am, and the last is A again.
