What's up guys? Just wondering if this was a place for info/encouragement for gigs, or more like JS's Showcase like for our songs and stuff?
Anyway if there is going to be a separate forum for gig-related stuff we should call it "Tour Bus" I think that would be cool.
Anyway I found out yesterday my band was asked to play 2 shows, totally randomly. We have a friend whose husband is turning 40, and they're renting out a hall at the camp we usually play at. But it's going to be adults and alcohol for this one, and about 40-50 people. We're playing two sets.
The other one is at a function room at this big Expo Center in Boston, I'm not sure exactly what the occasion is, but it's some kind of party with supposedly a couple hundred people in costumes and stuff. We're playing for an hour in between DJ sets.
We're not getting paid for either of them, but we get free food and beer at both, so hell, I've played for less than that, lol.
