Okay WHY is there no GNR thread here yet, lol. I think they're awesome. They're ESPECIALLY awesome when you consider that the "toughest" band in LA prior to guns was Motley Crue. I think Guns was great, great playing, great writing, great image. I remember being like 9 and watching the "Welcome to the Jungle" video on cable at a friend's house, and thinkin' that's what I wanted to do, lol.
As classic as "Appetite," and the "Illusions" are I actually prefer "GNR Lies," most of the time cause it feels more honest and raw, it's a no bullshit album and I dig that.

I donno, I don't think about posting about bigger bands because people pretty much know about them. The thread will be a lot of people going OMG I agree and maybe one or two that say no GNR suck. Then everyone will make fun of them.

Yeah they're my favorite band. Slash is my biggest influence probably, his playing got me into doing all kinds of minor pentatonic and blues scale soloing. I have all their albums except for their demo Live Like A Suicide, and Unwanted Illusions, which is a 2 CD set of songs (some studio some live) that didn't make the cut into Use Your Illusion. Both are rare as hell though and limewire turns up nothing.

Oh I know, I am just saying how that is how they usually end up, maybe not here because we have very few posters. But on larger forums. I remember even on a Pink Floyd forum, a guy would wanna discuss the wall and it would end up like how i mentioned.

I can't pick a single song. I love em all except for My World, which is more of an Axl Rose song than Guns N Roses
Locomotive, You Could Be Mine, Bad Apples, those are a couple of my favorites. So are You're Crazy, Rocket Queen, and pretty much everything off Appetite.

Dead Horse kicks ass. I forgot about Coma, another great song. What is your favorite "epic" by them (like Locomotive, November Rain, Estranged, etc.)

I used to have a thing for them, but then I realized Axl's voice is the most annoying fucking thing on Earth, and it ruins every song.
Slash is a mediocre player too.
