Or phpBB, its free. Invision costs money, and I wouldn't trust a pirated copy of it. thats what i said yesterday. you can get $5 a month hosting to cover more than enough bandwidth and get a free php template and then there will be no worries about this shit. I think everyone has mentioned it. At least we can all agree on something. |

i guess i am being kind of a dick. i do cuss a lot so if i stick around get used to it.
honestly, i feel bad for a lot of the bad mouthing that was focused towards JS and some of the mods.
this forum only has like 30 active members. imagine what it's like trying to moderate a forum with a couple thousand. it's a bitch man. people of all ages and personalities wanting to come out.
i used to post at a board called grasscity. i was the brash asshole there and i got banned so i started my own site. a ton of members from grass city left when i left and came to my board.
it was a no rules(except no spamming the board) place, everything was a go. cussing, nudes, slurs, whatever. you had to have thick skin to post there.
i could hardly ever post cause all it was was people pm'ing me and bitching about this, complaing about that, and on and on. it was a real fuckin drag. i gave the forum to another guy and same thing happened to him.
he gave it to 2 of the members that renamed it and put all those forums posts in the archives so they could be read.
i'm an admin there but i do nothing. the guys that run it are admins too and they deal with the occasional spammer and shit like that but that place runs smoothe. it's pretty harsh and you definately need thick skin.
anyway, i'm just trying to make a point i guess. while i don't agree with some of the decisions made by the mods there, it's a pain in the ass for them sometimes.
look what happened with you emix. one thread and shit gets all out of control, you freak, they freak, you're banned and here this site is.
now look. it's been here a few days and apparently people are already tiring of me.
i think that JS has good intentions. it's not meant to be a no rules forum.
so i guess i'm just fuckin wondering, is this place eventually gonna be no rules, heavy rules, hardly any rules or what.
catch my drift?

I didn't freak. I kept my cool throughout that entire thread, and then apologized to LesBill at the end of it all. Then Eclectifish PMed me talking shit, so I gave it back to him.
The thing is with JS there are no more than probably 40 active members, the rest post every once a month or once in their entirety. Its not that fucking difficult, I've moderated a few forums myself and as long as you have a good group of people who respect each other nothing too bad will happen.
